Thumb Splints for Arthritis or Tendonitis of the Thumb, or Thumb & Hand Pain

Thumb pain can be due to a variety of conditions. The most common causes of thumb pain are arthritis and tendonitis. Both conditions can be associated with pain, typically with use of the hand and inflammation. People who develop arthritis in the thumb, often notice an enlarged and deformed joint.

Thumb Tendonitis DiagramRoylan Neoprene Thumb Splints can be helpful to those who suffer with arthritis and tendonitis of the thumb. They provide warmth and compression to reduce pain. These thumb splints prevent overuse while allowing maximum hand function and comfort. Most people tend to wear the thumb splints while doing activities that may cause discomfort. It is best to take the thumb splint off periodically during the day and it is typically not needed at night, unless joint pain affects sleep quality. If redness or irritation occurs underneath the thumb splint, it should be removed. If the irritation is significant, not improving or getting worse, consultation with a physician is recommended. These thumb splints are made in the USA and are top of the line in quality.

Please take a look at our F.A.Q. and sizing information to better understand how to measure your wrist for ordering. If you need assistance with measuring, or have any questions at all concerning our thumb splints, please email us at info@thumbsplints.net.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Initially try the splint for a short period of time such as an hour or two per day to make sure that the splint fits comfortably. Then, increase the time worn by an hour or two each day up to as needed.

WARNING: If discomfort, irritation or pain results, persists or increases, discontinue use and consult a physician. In addition, consult a physician if there is redness or swelling at the site of the arthritis.
