How do I know what size to buy?
To know what size thumb splint to order, measure your wrist. Our thumb splint comes in five sizes. Size Wrist Circumference: You must measure the circumference of the smallest part of the wrist where the wrist connects to the hand. For more info visit the Sizing page. What causes thumb pain?Tendonitis Tendons are tissue that connect muscle to bone. Tendons can become inflammed or irritated (tendonitis ) by overuse or injury resulting in pain and swelling. Tenodnitis can occur at any age. Gardening, frequent lifting, and even prolonged typing are just a few of the many activities that can cause a tendonitis. ArthiritisOsteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis. This type of arthritis typically occurs after age 40 and is associated with damage to cartilage that cushions the joint. As a reult of this injury to cartilage, new bone forms leading to a painful and sometimes an enlarged or deformed joint. |
